My first keynote animation was about a fish that was trying to get food. He faces many obstacles along the way, including another fish trying to take his food, and his food falling to the ground before he can get to it. In the end of the animation, he finally gets food, and then eats the bully fish for revenge. My overall scope of the project was that it was fun to create the images and story on keynote, and I'd like to be able to go into more detail and explore more options with animation. I first thought of the idea of the fish searching for food, and then started by storyboarding it and transferring it to keynote. I took my time on the first slide, making sure the background was exactly how I wanted it. I then progressed the plot of my story as I went, adding plot elements and details in the animation. I learned a lot about keynote, such as how to make shapes look the way I want to, and how to duplicate slides. I also learned how to work fast and efficiently in order to get the project done on time. Next time I will take my time to make the animation a little less choppy, but I will try to keep my creative ideas and storyline. This project taught me the basics of animation and how to make things look the way I want them to.

Photoshop Projects

We used the text mask and layers of gradients to create our name project.
For this project, we used clone stamp and content-aware fill to get rid of night posts and cars, the magnetic lasso to cut out the raven, and text masks to make the pictures look like they're floating in the raven.
In Illustrator, you can create images using shapes, lines, and color, but Photoshop is better when you're working with images. It is good to have both so you can design different types of graphics using the most effective program possible.

Website

I really enjoy doing stuff like this and I hope to do more in the future. Next project I hope to work more in the code and improve my skills in knowing what all the tags are and how to use them.

My Logo

Once I got to Illustrator, I decided that a circle would be a better choice to pull together my logo. I used the colors purple and gold to represent the sun, royalty, and give it heavenly/angelic qualities.

Adobe Illustrator Color Wheel
The colors companies use in their designs are important because different color are associated with different feelings and ideas, sending different messages to the viewer. If companies don't know the meanings of the colors they're using, they could end up sending the wrong message about their product.
Red - blood, war, power, love
Green - nature, growth, healing, money
Blue - water, truth, wisdom, tranquility
Black - elegance, death, evil, mystery
White - safety, purity, light, cleanliness
Purple - royalty, luxury, ambition, wealth
Yellow - sunshine, joy, intellect, energy
Orange - enthusiasm, fascination, creativity, success
Brown - stability, masculinity, reliability, approachability
Logo Color Use
This is the logo used to represent BP gas stations. It uses the colors green, yellow-green, and yellow, which are analogous colors. The yellow and white in the logo could represent "the light", the sun, peace, and happiness, which could make people want to go to their gas station. The green could represent harmony and safety, insuring that people who go to their gas station will be satisfied and well protected.

Interview Final
In this video, I reflected on my experience in the video strand. I talked about what I learned about editing, filming, collaboration, and if I want to continue in this strand. One thing I learned during this project was that it's a lot harder to be the actor than the filmer. In all my previous projects, I was the one filming, so I got to be in charge of the way the shots were set up and make sure they were done the way I envisioned. In this project, since I was acting, I was not able to do that. I noticed when I was editing that some of the shots were either not completely straight or not at the right angle, so next time I will make sure to either choose people who I know can set up clean shots to be in my group, or check the camera before they start filming. Some other things I learned are that you have to make sure not to change your hair or the way you're sitting between shots, because it will look like a jump cut in the video, and also that the up and down buttons on the flip cameras adjust the volume, so you have to keep it the same the whole time or else the video will suddenly get louder or softer, but you can adjust the audio on Final Cut Pro in order to make it all even. Another complication I ran into during this project that I hadn't with my other ones were not getting along as well with the other people in my group. It made it a lot harder to film and get stuff done, so next time I will be sure to either choose my group wiser or try to be more flexible. My favorite thing about this class would probably be being expose and getting to try so many new things and meet so many new people. I loved learning the six shot sequence and how to film it, how to edit on Final Cut Pro, and overall how to collaborate with new people on projects. I hope to bring the skills I learned in this class to the other strands, and possibly if I continue with this strand in the future.
